Ferns, Dogwoods and Fiddleheads Wedding Cake
12" and 8" cakes. Base is a wood turntable covered with chocolate cake, hand-painted fondant mushrooms, hand-cut and hand-painted sword fern leaflets and fiddleheads. Both cakes are covered in vanilla buttercream. Dogwood flowers and leaves are fondant. Top fiddleheads are wired for strength and topped with hand-cut/painted butterflies.

This is stunning Leslie, the leaves and mushrooms look freshly picked :) I have a bit of a passion for butterflies and yours are very pretty - would have loved to see a close up of them. One beautiful cake - bet the happy couple were over the moon with it. (PS the Lazy Susan is an inspired idea, I have a couple of these and have never thought of using them for cake) Tx
