Spring Tea Cake

I made this cake for a charity function where it was raffled out. With the theme being SPRING, I opted for something with blossoms, but tried to stay away from the obvious. I used Leathercraft teqniques (and tools) to carve out the picture used for the top of the wooden box. With no textured rollers at my disposal, I created a felt-like feel on the cakeboard under the box for effect.
