This is a three layer sour cream white cake filled with almond flavored butter cream. The basket weave is also done in almond flavored butter cream, and the napkin and all of the fruit are done in marshmallow fondant then shaded with petal dusts and pearl dusts.

Oh, I forgot to say, no molds. Everything done by hand.
Yes, June, this is a cake I used as a sample for the cake class last night, and then I gave the cake to the Pastor to use as he wished and he has a family that he has been ministering to that has been going through a really tough time with the possibility that their infant will be born with disabilities. But, they just found out that all is well with the baby after all so he was going to use this as a celebration cake for them on the good news. You guys all can do such beautiful flowers....I guess it must be fruit that I can do, right? ha ha ha! Although, I must say those stinky blackberries took me an hour and a half each to make! They were awful! Everything else was pretty easy, but those blackberries....I should charge $10.00 for each one of those dumb things, if I ever do them again. I had to make the stems with a lot of the gum tex added to the fondant to really stiffen them up and then had to let them dry before putting them on. They kept bending over when I put htem on.
Is this cake? Wow.................
You have got that right Katy.... :o)
Incredible Linda - those blackberries are amazing, so is the apple, oh and the bananas.... Hell they're all amazing!
The "fruit" is just amazing! Looks so real
well teach us to! lol awesome Linda ;x
Wow Linda
A real beauty. All your fruit looks so real. All done by hand or mold? Those blackberries, strawberries & grapes must have taken quite a while to do. Is this a result of teaching your cake decorating class????
wow !!!!!!!
