I did it in one attempt.  It was one of my first cakes that I've ever done.  I have done more cat cakes since.  I froze the cakes before carving. I remember I had to keep putting the ears back into the freezer when I was sculpting them.  I think it took about 5 hrs, I also remember being up really late doing it.  But I can't say for sure as it was a couple of years ago.

Thanks for that Gail. :)

how long did it take you to sculpt it and how many attempts did it take?

It was also featured on cooking.com animal cakes through the month of March.  This little kitty gets around ;)   http://www.cooking.com/recipes-and-more/animal-cakes-photo-gallery....

Hi Rita

Thanks so much.  It was featured on easy-birthday-cakes.com, here is the link directly to the page, it has all the instructions.  http://www.easy-birthday-cakes.com/cat-cake.html

If you want more details, I don't mind at all, just email me directly at taylormadecakes@bellaliant.net.

Hi really like the cake. Is it possible that you could let me know how you made it as my daughter wants one?

Thanks
