Shoebox with Shoe

My daughter's nurse asked me to make a cake for her daughter, I was THRILLED when she said she loves 'shoes' & knew just what to suggest & she said this idea was perfect. This is what I came up with. She gave me a shoe to copy (minus the 4-3/4 heel I knew wasn't possible) & told me her 2 favorite colors, lime green & sky/teal blue. The 'lid' is a foam core board, covered w/Chocolate MMF. Cake is Butter cake w/Chocolate Ganache filling, iced in Vanilla BC. I dipped the tip of a skewer into some White icing color (wilton) for the dots on the shoe. I used a 50/50 mix of Karo & Vodka for the gloss on the shoe. This was the 2nd heel I made for this shoe, had I had more time, I'd have attempted another....just couldn't get it right. But, overall, I had alot of fun with this one.
