Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Decided to use the shoe for my niece's 18th Birthday cake. This is a surprise and I will deliver when she comes home from school. Cake is champagne filled with orange curd & orange champagne SMBC covered in MMF.

Mandy, I wish I had seen it before I made the shoe.  It would have been sooo much easier and would probably have looked better.  The heel was just slightly off but I managed to make it look ok by the way I placed it on the cake.

Mandy, I didn't use a mold.  I made the heel just by looking at a shoe of mine.  It isn't quite perfect but I was pretty happy with it.  For the shoe itself, I made my own mold but had to keep cutting it down cause it didn't look right.  Since then I found a great idea on cc for next time, if you want to check it out:  http://cakecentral.com/g/a/3265480/high-heel-mould/

Beautiful goreti, do you use a shoe mould? I spent since Monday trying to get my shoe right (no mould) & today decided to start again! Wasn't happy, this is to go with a handbag cake for Monday coming. Have now ordered a mould from the US so next time I don't take so long
