Becky, I loved the way it smoothed (perfectly) and the way it stabilized the cake, but frankly did not like it with this particular cake. I think I got it too thick and it overpowered the delicate cake and raspberry flavors.
Oh my - that sounds deeeelicious!!! I have not yet tried ganache but must do it!!!

Thank you so much, Inoka! I used Wilton's "Rose" which is a pink instead of a true red...just used a lot of it.
