Oh yeah, we never grow to old to remember our mothers wise cracks. But serious now... June you do make me laugh!
lol June - you do make me laugh
What a positive nature you have! Wish I could have you near me so you could see my smile. Love you already, June!
June's gumpaste will work I am using the same stuff (mine has vodka) and it works wonders. I just added a bit of warm water to hasten the melting part.
Thanks June - I have glued it, with edible glue, so fingers crossed. I like the sound of yours though, I might make some of that up for the future. :)
Gumpaste glue Katy.....works WONDERS. Small bottle about 4 oz., fill 1/2 way with clear alcohol...gin, rum, whatever, good chunk of gumpaste ripped in little pieces into the bottle...shake, shake. Wait a couple of hours..Wala...gumpaste glue.
When I did the cake for my nephew & nieces wedding, I only made one daffodil. When I picked it up to place on the cake...yikes...2 petals fell off. I know it was becasue I used to much alcohol to paint on the lustre dust, so I weakened the original bond. I just re-glued with my gp glue and it was as good as new.
Hope this helps. :o)
