Thanks Kamini! For this cake I took my flower cutter and pressed it into my buttercream on top to give me the outline. And I think, I took a frosting tip (Wilton #12 I think) and pressed it in the middle to give me a little circle in the middle. I used these out lines as my templates all over the top. Then I took various colors of piping gel (the glittery ones Wilton sells in a tube) and gently filled in those areas. Just go slow on your first one and you'll get a feel for it.

How did you make those 3D glossy flowers on the top? The cake's beautiful.
