Chocolate Contest
Libby brought a photo from a magazine and wanted the cake just like it. I tried to talk her into making changes because I don't usually like to copy cakes but she wanted it just like the picture so I did it the way she wanted it. The "tooled leather" is done with dark chocolate Satin Ice using leather tools to make the design in the sides. The leather strips are also dark chocolate fondant. There are other views in my album that you can see the tooling up closer

The tooled leather does fit our area... guess that is why I do so many of them every year. I have actually invested in some leather tools to use for my designs. Makes it fun. Thanks for the nice compliments everyone!

Really nice leather work with all of the adornments that make it so beautiful. Great wild west looking with a twist of elegance for their Western Wedding. I think you are fabulous to mention and give thanks for the inspiration of your creation! Great job!!!

I do several of the tooled leather cakes every year. I live in the "Wild West" so fits right in here!!! I did change it a little the leather look on the top tier was shaped differently and the conchos were almost at the base of the original so I did change it up just a tad.
