Thank you Betty!!! I am doing a little better as I am now in a boot instead of a cast and crutches. Much easier to move cakes about when you don't have crutches under your arms!! I was really fortunate and my son came home last weekend and helped me get some of the baking done ahead of time. Don't know what I would have done had he not helped me. My foot and leg are so swollen and standing up on it all day doesn't help. I think my foot is in it's final color change - black and purple (ick) and my underarms are feeling better now that I have ditched the crutches. What a hassle!! I am so clumsy, I think I could trip on a grain of sand!!

I didn't know about the foot Becky, so sorry...I'm kinda in the same spot...no broken foot but I don't have a backup person either and at 78 (soon to be 79) It worries me a little about taking orders to far in advance. But I have slowed up some, don't take on as much as I used to.. Hope you continue to feel better and get well soon.. I love looking at your cakes, you are so talented. :)))

This is when I wish I had a back up person. There is absolutely nobody that I could pass off too and I what hate to put someone in the spot of having to find someone at the last minute to make their cake. Although by the end of each evening my foot is telling me otherwise. Never thought about how much you use your feet when decorating cakes (LOL)!

Betty, Becky is a busy lady WITH A BROKEN FOOT! Can you imagine?? I don't know how in the world she is keeping up.
