RoughRiders CFL Helmet, 122f
The CFL RoughRiders helmet was my candy cake and buttercream, all dyed green on the inside. It was covered with fondant and airbrushed like their humerous fans with the "Watermellon" heads, even the inside cut out to look like a watermellon. I fashioned the helmet cage from gumpaste and hand made and painted the logo on the side helmet. The "Gainer" the gopher mascot and watermellon slice is hand sculpted/painted from fondant, along with all of the banners. I used green and white buttercream for the football field to finish off the effect.

LOL, Thanks Laurie....Im a Rider fan by default after moving from the states to Calgary and being with my Sask. wife who is a die hard one herself! Even though I moved to BC, I am and always will be a die-hard Rider fan! Knowing all the quirks and jokes I absolutely love this cake! You nailed it! Gainer looks great.
