Instructions are further down this post. It was cut freehand so I don't have a template for it.

It only took about 2-3 hours to do but it seems like it could take a lot longer when you read the instructions.

Thank you so much, it does look like a lot of work and a rather daunting task.  I will have to psych myself.  I love cake it is so detailed.

I forgot to mention that I then took it off the cakeboard & fixed it onto the cake with a little sugar glue. Make sure that it is covered in plastic wrap/cling film when you're not working on it.

On a spare cakeboard I rolled out some tan sugarpaste & cut out a rough shape of the head. I then put a defining line for the neck and slightly indented this. I added black sugarpaste for the neck & added definition with modeling tools. I added more black sugarpaste cut into shape to make the face & added definition to this. I made indents for the eyes and built up the eyebrows from inside the eye sockets. I added eyes using 4 layers of colour. I used small bits of tan for the features & black for the ears. I brushed some black petal dust around the edges of the tan. I made a collar  with an edible image dog tag and added some studs which were painted gold. I just built it up in layers. Hope this helps.
