Patricia...I"m sorry that I missed your comment...I don't use too  much buttercream...won't be good...nice crumb coat...get the buttercream as stiff as the cake can handle...the good thing with fruit cake is that it's nice and sturdy. So don't be afraid of her...:)

Teneisha you did such a great job with the fondant over the fruit cake. I cannot get mine like this. I use butter cream to seal in the fruit cake them I put on my MMf.. but it tend to be too much butercream under the fondant so it seeps out ,and it is not good what am I doing wrong..? I want to make my cake look just like that smooth..LOL..
