thank you for the tips :)
to be safe we put dowels especially for our cakes we put on so much detail sometimes the top part sinks. dont forget to put the cake board at the bottom of the top layer
Wow! This is beautiful! Awesome job!
thanks for the info anna :) if let's say i'm making a 2 tier fondant cake, is it a must to use a dowel to attach the 2 cakes together? or can i make the cake without the dowels?
Gorgeous.
i used a choptick that was sliced at an angle to insert the ribbon :) i used eggwhites for royal icing but i heated it so it would be safer :) i dont like the smell of royal icing made of meringue powder (the kind that is available here, maybe abroad its better :), i added gumarabic to the royal icing ...
this must have taken a lot of time to make because of the very intricate details.. how about wearing glasses or extra light in the kitchen? it would be sad not to be able to repeat this. it's so beautiful. wish my wedding cake was as pretty as this. i was disappointed with how our wedding cake was made, plus we had to pay an extra fee for the piping (that kinda looked like it was piped by a kid). just curious, did you use egg whites or meringue powder for the royal icing? i am so curious how you stitched that ribbon in the fondant. it looks really nice.
i am not sure if i can do this again with all the work i am doing now my eyesight is not as clear as it was a year ago :(
Stunning!
wow :)
