Hi Sue,

I took a piece of plywood and put 4 very small feet on it so it is raised off of the table. For the legs I used PVC pipes that I sawed off to the size I wanted. I screwed some pvc fittings into the plywood and then set the pipes into them. I also screwed some pvc fittings into the bottom of a thick cake board and set that on top of the pipes. I think the body was 4 layers of cake and the head was 3 layers. The feet, arms, and the half ball on top of the head are all made out of rice krispies. After this cake was finished, I realized that it was so big, I couldn't move it! I was glad I didn't have to transport it as it was for my own son. Glad you liked it and if you have any more questions, just ask. : )

Hi...My nephew has requested me to make him a robot cake for his birthday, I found yours to be a close match as to what he drew for me...what are the legs of your cake made of and how did it hold up??  I was thinking of using rice krispie treats for part...any suggestions you could give me I would greatly appreciate....Thanks Sue
