The challenge that we had for our cake club this month was to make a teacup out of some edible material. Mine is made from gum paste and then painted on the inside with gold luster dust and the outside was super pearl luster dust, and then I used food paste to paint the flowers on the outside of the cup.

Oh my Linda. I just saw this for the first time. I love it. I hope to try it some day, along with the shoe box and shoe. Trying to get up the nerve.
Thank you Shirley...it was a first time doing this. I'll know what not to do on a next one.
awww, Sandra, thank you. With your amazing talent, I expect to see you give it a try. =O)
I don't know Linda, I truly love how it looks very "antique" and perfect with the subtle waves.
Thank you Tim. One thing I wish I would have done when I sanded the edges, was turn it upside down and sand all edges at the same time by going back and forth with the cup on a fine piece of sand paper so that the whole top edge would have been more even. Instead, I used an emery board and filed here and there, so the edges are not nice and smooth all around it. I should have sanded it before I put the handle on, too. Gum paste is pretty sturdy all by itself and I'm sure that it could have taken it.
AMAZING Linda!!!... Just AMAZING!!!
Please do...
Thank you Sandra. I keep thinking I should make a teapot to go with it.
Absolutly stunning...best price,,,love it...so me and you...
Thank you Connie. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. There is a tutorial on line (just google it and it comes up) and it takes you step by step.
