That sounds like the same recipe. but it didn't have the cocoa, I guess I could add it if I wanted too. But after the discussion about the box mix being to chocolatey I didnt' want to add it, it really doesn't matter to me either....
I do try a taste here and there, especially if I am making something new, but most of the cakes go out the door and other people eat them. I had type 2 diabeates, but have controlled it with my diet so sugar and carbs are pretty much out for me. But I love cake, my weakness is the batter, licking the bowl, the beater and the spoon!!!!!
Awe, how can you bake cakes and not eat them?? That is my biggest problem, not being able to NOT eat them...and my overly curvy figure shows it too.
I use a doctored RVC too. I use the one that calls for 1 cup buttermilk, 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup sour cream, vanilla, 1/4 cup oil and a DH cake mix. I think it actually calls for a couple extra tablespoons of cocoa too. I think it tastes pretty good. It seems to be much moister than my actual scratch cake. I'm not from the south, so I don't mind it being chocolaty. That's how I have always had it anyway. Everyone has their own tastes.
