I didn't get any, Tim! My husband is the 'official' picture taker at birthdays and since he was cutting into his own cake at the same time that Trevor, my grandson was cutting into his, we didn't get any pictures taken of either one. :o(
That's such a WONDERFUL story Linda... I smiled all the way though it! My only other question is... Do you have any pictures of you cutting into this cake...? I for one would LOVE to see them!
To me, it was horrible. My 21 year old grandson wanted it for his birthday so he helped me with it, and he does not have great time management skills (he likes to 'get in the zone and stay there'), so we were up until about 3am still working on this cake, and I still had to get up in the morning, clean the house, along with the cake mess and cook a birthday dinner. Not to mention, I had already made that beer stein cake with the brat, pretzel and pickle earlier in the day for my husband's birthday cake too, so I had that mess to clean up as well, so I really was about ready to throw in the towel by the time we had dinner. But, as you can see, I did it!! Yay!! (by the way, the rice krispy treats kept getting soft and the arms seemed to bow in a little). After the dinner was over though, it really was rewarding to see both my husband and grandson's faces as we sang happy birthday.
Cool Linda!
Was this Tedious to make...? or LOTS of FUN!!!!
Just Wondering!!!
