Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

For a 21st Birthday. The top was carved out with a plastic container in it so they could actually pour beer in it. The birthday boy was not there yet when I delivered it so I don't have pics of the beer in it.

Tiffany, I am so sorry I have not responded.  I have not had any computer time between work, cakes, crafts and family my hours are gone!  I actually am doing a cake just like this one this week.  I will see if I can write up a tutorial and post it.  I took pics last time.  The foam is actually royal icing piped on.  The cake I made graduating sizes starting with 6".  I think I did 2 6's 2 7's2 8's and one 9".  I will check and get back with you.  I used ganache to dirty ice it because I don't think buttercream would hold it together.  Ganached it and put it in the fridge to set it up good then put the fondant on it.

I am wanting to make a cake like this.. Could you give me some pointers on how you did.. maybe the cake sizes and what you used for the foam.. I think I want to do butter cream instead of fondant.
