Body made of Rice Crispy treats covered in dark chocolate and chocolate fondant. Head and feathers made of gum paste painted with color/luster dust and gel food colorings. Topper for two nephews, who are turkey hunters, birthday cake.

LOL! I started out with an egg shaped cake pan packed full of RKT, carved and sculpted from there. I don't know why in the world I wanted to make a turkey, but I got that out of my system!
This one was easy. It only took a month :o) I am a gluten for punishment.
Unfortunately, one of my nephews travels for his job so we have never been able to get together to celebrate the brother's birthdays. I have about decided, if I have time, to enter a cake in the state fair using the turkey topper and calling it a groom's cake. Thanks, Timothy!

Thank you for all of your kind words, Linda! Personally, I wouldn't want to eat him either (or any of my other sculpted figures for that matter) because, even though I always wash my hands, he has been handled for many hours. Just doesn't seem like something you would want to eat :o(
