For us, June, it is the Empress Hotel in Victoria!  I have been there twice in my life for afternoon tea - I can just imagine this cake among all those beautiful treats!

No, Tracy, I cannot imagine!! The Ritz is of those places, like The Royal York in TO & The Frontenac in Quebec city, amongst others, where you walk by & dream about going in for tea.

English high tea indeed June. Just imagine how much they would charge for a slice at the Ritz in London!

I agree with Tracy's description Tim. Long flowing gowns, parasols. This cake looks perfect for a true & proper English High Tea. Ahhhh wish I could have tried a slice, I am sure it tasted as divine as it looked. :0)

Thanks Anne M, Michelle and Laurie... There toothpick roses made with an S101 tip... The smallest rose tip I know of... And I wasn't trying to "trash" fake cakes... I'm so grateful we have them... but ever time I see one... it's a little heart breaking for me to think... I'll never get to try a bite of this one... :(

I'm SUCH a cake junkie....
