Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

See what I mean about the ripping. I tried to change the design to hide them. Oh well, everyone loved it anyway.

I bought the Wilton mold.  It is $9.99 at Michael's and I used the 50% coupon.  Saved me lots of time.

did you have a mold for the buttons or did you do them free hand?

That's right, I love daydreaming...and I will be ready when you need me, Katy. Same for all my beautiful girlfriends here in CWB.

That's a good idea Linda, thanks for suggesting.

Sandra that is really generous of you to offer, thanks so much.  I may take you up on it later on.  And I wholeheartedly agree on how nice it would be for all us meet each other.  As you say, we can dream..........xx

Katy, I wonder if enough of you from the UK would contact that supplier and make your request, if they might start adding that stuff to their inventory. Sometimes, companies like that just need a confirmation that there is a demand for it before they will supply it. They are already receiving stock from Wilton, so it cannot be that much difference in the shipping cost to add a wider variety, as long as they know they are going to have buyers ready to purchase it.

If I could only have a "wish", to be able to get you girls what you need and take it to you, so I can personally meet you and make you happy...love to day dream...

OR I will be more than glad to buy you girls (with coupons) what you need.  I can make a small box, you would only need to reimburse me and pay for the shipping.  You can tell me what molds you want I can get them for $5.00 each, lets hope that the shipping wont be expensive...

Yes Katy
There is a plethora of products & sites in USA. Not so much here in Canada. Usually, they bring products from the States, & that is why it is so costly.
Goreti: We DON'T have AC Moore in Canada. Not even in N Falls/Buffalo area either. They do have Hobby Lobby in N Falls/USA. But if I am going across the border, it would have to be for a lot more than a few moulds to make my trip worthwhile.

Thanks Linda.  I followed the link and it turns out that the UK supplier is Knightsbridge Bakeware Centre), who turn out to be cakedecoration.co.uk, who I found earlier.  They are a bit cheaper than my usual supplier, so that's something, but don't seem to have anything like the variety of products that you get in the US at Wilton.com!  Not fair, how come you guys get all the good stuff lol!

AC Moore usually has the 50% coupon & Michael's accepts them.  I think I actually used an AC Moore coupon.  They are right across the street from each other.
