Nike Shoe Birthday Cake

My very first try at the shoe. I used White Sour Cream Cake recipe, because I find it has a great flavor and also it stands up well to molding. I baked a 1/2 sheet cake and cut 2 pieces from the cake and that was how my shoe began. Then I covered it in a layer of fondant and started adding the various pieces. I didn't have a mold but I would imagine there are molds out there that would make the task easier. It took about 3 1/2 hours to decorate it.
