Flower made without cutters--made a template but totally screwed up on the way I dried the petals. Not what I was expecting to do but this was just for practice anyway. I still like the way it looks.

Goreti, it's beautiful :-)
Angela, do you mix fondant & gum paste? I usually use my leftover marshmallow fondant and mix it with the Wilton gum paste. I wait for the 50% off coupon (lol). It gives me a little more time to play with it. Also after I dust them with petal dust, I steam them.
Your gumpaste work is flawless.. everytime i use it it dries out too much.... and everything looks like elephant skin!
Thanks Nadia
WOW! Goreti,Really eye catching ! I adore your work. Nice job !
Goreti, if you could only see the struggle I have making flowers....I want to pick them up and throw them across the room when they flop on me. If you have ever noticed, not too many of my cakes actually have any flowers on them.
Linda I just realized that I didn't word that very well but I think you get my meaning. Everything of yours that I have seen is beautiful. You are probably being too critical of yourself.
Tx Linda & Gail. Linda I find it hard to believe that you don't do anything well. For some reason, I have always loved gumpaste flowers and that was what I really wanted to try. I don't make more because I really have no need for them. There are a lot that I would love to try but I can't keep buying cutters. I'm going to try doing more using templates.
Oh, Man, Goreti! That is one beautiful flower! I am so envious! Me and flowers just don't seem to get along. This is awesome!
