Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This was a 12x18 sheet cake with three chocolate layers covered in buttercream. The ball was white cake covered in fondant. The floor of the alley was a sheet of fondant painted to look like wood.

I actually cheated with the pins. I bought one of those cheap plastic kids bowling sets. I tried making them with rice krispie treats first. I cut one of the pins open and used it to mold the treats, but they kept falling apart on me around the neck. I then turned to the pin itself. I washed the pins, drilled a small hole in the bottom inserted a long white sucker sticks, and then wrapped it in fondant. I let them know that that was the only part of the cake they couldn't eat. Ha

Hi Melanie,  I love the cake and would like to make it for my daughter's upcoming party.  Can you tell me how you made the pins??  They look fantastic!!!  Thanks!!!
