Thank y'all!!!!   Katy - yes - the burlap ribbon was the kind that had the really thin wiring on the edges.  Not much shedding at all.  I didn't really like the raffia that the customer provided - it was cheap and looked like recycled plastic grocery bags.

beautiful Becky.  how did you find working with the burlap. did you manage to keep it under control without it going all over your cake?

Lucky you!  I would not like to do any flowers that large.  Lovely theme!
