See what I mean about the ripping. I tried to change the design to hide them. Oh well, everyone loved it anyway.

goreti, the crack is hardly noticeable! this is a really pretty cake. if i had taken a picture of the cake i made without the "embellishments", it would have "CRAP" stamped on it. it was really that bad. lol not only a rip, bit it kinda looked like someone intentionally used their fingers to put a hole in it. but this cake of yours is beautiful - and i mean that.

No

DON"T say loser. We can't learn if we don't make mistakes!!!  Some of my best caking skills come from my mistakes.  Painful as they nay have been.

Yeah, I'm an idiot sometimes.  I like to try new things & see them as challenges.  Well this one I think I came out the loser.  lol

WAaaaaay to many ingredients for me!!!  Mine is SOooo easy, and less ingredients to worry about. I find the more ingrdients, the more chance for error. I sent you my recipe through the message forum Goreti. Was too big to post here.    :o)

I tried to find that recipe for mmf on CC Goerti. Couldn't. So I can't compare it to my own homemade mmf. Ah...we ALL have had frustrating cakes and not been happy with the outcome. Usually it is just US that are critical!!!!!!  We always are ready to jump back on the "make another cake" bandwagon!!  It is in our BLOOD!!!!  Hee Hee

I was a little frustrated with this one.  Felt like I had taken a giant step backwards.  Even told hubby that it would be a lonnnnnng time before I decorated another cake.  Then my daughter asked me to make one for her new beau for next weekend.  Guess what I said..........yes, of course.  But since there are so many girls in the family, I am so used to make girlie cakes so this will be a change.

I also wouldn't have noticed Goreti if you hadn't had a "close up" on the cake.  It was stil a beautiful cake and very well done. Loved all the buttons.
