done using template in the Exotic Sugar Flowers for cakes by Alan Dunn--doesn't look exactly like his but I'm still happy with the results--first time I tried, dried the petals in the wrong direction so this was take two

I got mine from amazon, they haves really great prices and most give you a 5 to 10 page preview. I keep wanting to try something from his celebration cakes book but I always end up just browsing the book and oohing and aahing instead :) lol.

Beautiful work. The Peony is one of my favorite flowers. I work for PhotoFrost and I have tried to make one from our icing sheets with little success. If you have any suggestions in that area I would appreciate it. I realize it will not have the stunning impact that your flower does but I am trying to make one that would involve simpler steps and less time. Your input would be helpful even if you think it is not possible please let me know. Again this is beautiful.
