Speed Boat Cake
I created this cake for my nephew's graduation from marine mechanics school. The cake looked great and it was not until about a year later that my sister told me how horrible it tasted. I remember using a recipe I found online for pound cake. I had read that 3d cakes should be dense and had problems with others I had made.. Live and learning.

What a shame Pamela that it tasted so bad. It looked great. As you say, live and learn. Always test a new recipe first! fyi there is a site called Quaint Cakes(in the UK), that does recipes and tutorials at ridiculously cheap prices. She has one for a Madeira cake that gets rave reviews on Facebook by all that use it. If you're interested, here's the link to her site
