My 5 yr. old granddaughter wanted to make a cake , so we did 3 6" chocolate round layers. Remembered the bottom parchment, and the flower nails, but forgot the parchment on the sides... oh well, always a next time. Did not tort them this time, just removed the dome, and brushed on lots of fresh squeezed orange juice. Then stuck them together with orange flavored white buttercream. Luv chocolate oranges!

How fun!!!  I hope someday I have a grand daughter to do this with!  Probably a good thing with the sides of the cake - helps her problem solving skills!  Sounds delicious!!

The OJ juice that we added really put a kick to it..., YUMMMMMY!

I am used to the sides being as close to perfect as I can get them!  Much better than here anyway! lol  Does taste awfully like chocolate cake!  :o)

It didn't seem to suffer from the lack of parchment on the sides.  Just needs a little brushing off.  It looks delicious!
