We had some messy areas on the top, so ran some around the cake, then used a wet finger to pull it down to cover our mistakes! lol
She/we are getting better at that!
Then we stuck one of our roses on top. We never really have a plan ahead of time, just go with the flow...

So pretty Bonnie..like the bc effect. If I need hi ratio shortening, I have to purchase at my bulk barn. No one else sells it.

Just when did they do this dastardly deed?  The very nerve, messing with a cooks Crisco!  I am not up on all this stuff, I just follow the recipes! lol  Looked to me like it had enough fat, with all that slippery shiny effect! lol  Who knew???

Since they took out all the trans fats out of Crisco it doesn't act the way it used to. Have to add more butter & put the fat back in..LOL

I love the way you guys did the sides...so pretty!  Wouldn't that make a cool hula skirt effect?!  Your frosting looks pretty and creamy and smooth.  Did it hold up OK?
