Thanks, Melissa! They were pretty easy, but break very easily, so make a lot of extras.
I love the snow flakes, im going to have to give it a try.....exciting
Thank you so much, Cha! It was fun to do.
Beautiful....!
Now you have done it, Timothy....turned me on to another incredible decorator! I will never get anything done :o( Again, thank you!
BEAUTIFUL Sandra... I believe Linda Wolff has one like this ... ...? maybe...?
Yes. It was the first (and only, so far) time I have made anything with Royal Icing. I down loaded snowflake pictures from the internet, laid a piece of wax paper over the pattern and traced them with a # 3 tip and Royal Icing. After allowing them to dry overnight, I very gently removed them from the wax paper and applied to the cake. I didn't have any faith that this would work so I made a lot of extra snowflakes. I did have a few to break, but it worked far better than I ever expected. I loved this technique and will definitely be trying it again.
So pretty, how on earth did you do those snowflakes? Are they piped?
Thanks, Goreti. This was my first try at making something from royal icing, letting it dry, then transferring to the cake. I was tickled pink that it worked. I did break a few, but I made a bunch of extras because I expected it.
This is really lovely
