Melissa, the ganache was warm not hot. The trick is not to pour too much on. If I remember right, I used a spatula to "push " the ganache to the sides.
Your cake looks delish...orange & chocolate great combo!
Can you tell me how you got the ganache to stop at the top? Was is thicker or cooled? I am making a cake with ganache today & I don't want the ganache to go drip all the way down. I want it to look like just like this cake. Thanks for your time!
