Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This is my wedding cake I made almost 15 years ago. It is a white 3 tiered cake with buttercream icing. I used various sized rose tips to make the different sized ruffles, largest at the bottom and then decreasing in size on each upper tier. There is a tighter frilled scallop made with a rose tip that tops the ruffles on the bottom tier. This is topped with a frilly scallop made with a star tip. The middle tier has ruffles topped with writing tip dots, then various string scallops and "curtain pulls" with fringe detail all made with writing tip; edged with star tip frills. The top tier ruffles are finished off similarly to the middle tier with star tip and writing tip scallops, ruffles and drop string scallops. It is edged with vertical shells, string scallops, and polka dots. All tiers are finished with blue drop flowers and greeb piped leaves.
