Hi everyone, ive been struggling with the christmas roses!
I just cant seem to get the right lol
I took a break from it or i would of gone nuts.
I made this red rose . I think its the best ive done yet !
Could i include this on my christmas cake? Im doing holly, ivy leaves an tiny daphne petals and hopefully, if i can get the hang of them, christmas roses .
Thanks for any comments and for looking

Lovely.... great job. :o)
Thanks Goreti, i thought i might glitter the edges a little ?
It is so pretty. I would use it.
btw, I'm just about to leave my computer now (presents to wrap, yuck and tidying to be done). I'll check back from time to time, see how it's going!
Unless your oven is often cooking at higher temps than it should, I would leave well alone. The covering over of the top should keep a bit of moisture in and help stop the cracking. If it's cracking, then I'm assuming it's rising in the middle?, so you will probably be cutting that dome shaped swelling off anyway.
Ok, thanks, done ! Fingers crossed ! Its not quite done, should i turn oven down slightly ?
Try putting some greaseproof paper or brown paper over the top of it.
He ! Um.. might have a prob? it slightly starting to crack on the top ??!!!
lol :)
Oh btw, the cakes been in nearly 3 hrs..your right, i can smell it ;-)
