My first ever Holy Communion cake

This cake is a trial for a cake I have been asked to do.
It is 2 layers of vanilla sponge with raspberry jam and vanilla butter cream. It was then completely covered in buttercream and then a layer of fondant was used to cover the cake. I then used some more fondant to try to create the pages. The edges of the cake were painted with silver edible paint to try to make it look like pages.
