Lisa, don't be. There is every level of baker on this site and for the most part, everyone on this site is very supportive and encouraging. The only way to get better and better with your skills, is to keep making cakes and getting pointers from fellow cakers! I haven't met too many that aren't willing to share their experiences and advise, along with a few flops along the way too! Just get active and keep on posting!! =O)

This is your first cake?? Wow! I'm pretty darn impressed! My first cakes were horrible messes, but I just kept persevering on. Heck, it took me till I was 59-60 years old (I'm 62 now) before I would even attempt fondant! You did an amazing job!
