Top tier is styrofoam covered in ivory fondant with gumpaste flowers and fondant embellishments. I got inventive and used a tupperware lid to make the half shells.
Bottom tier is Chocolate fudge cake with chocolate bc & skor bar filling. Covered in shabby chic white bc

I limit my sugar too. Don't use the artificial... like splenda.... too chemical. And I was limiting my bread, still do, to a point, but find when you cut something completely out of your daily diet, as soon as you add it back.....Boom.... the weight comes back on.  I need to bake cookies for 2 get togethers, but have avoided it cause I am SOoooo bad with fresh baked cookies!!!!  You know, one in the jar, one in your mouth.... hee hee

Oh Linda - I know exactly what you mean.  I don't eat 'bad' things all week and then at the weekend I sometimes just let rip.  But it's always late at night, while watching TV and then -

Can't sleep

Blood pressure rockets

Metabolism goes into overdrive trying to burn all the sugar off

Every time I say I won't do that again, but I just can't stop myself...........

Naw...not this time, Tim. I am having a very small group tomorrow-just 8, but I made a huge batch of chocolates. Some have caramel and pecans in them, English toffee centers, mint, and butterscotch. I was dying to try each one and now I am wired like someone on drugs! It's awful! I haven't had sugar since June 1st.

Linda...? Are you making the "Triple Chocolate Cappuccino Cake" for the Festivities...? Oh my goodness...!!! It would be worth the seven hour trip for just one slice.... Although... I know whatever your making for Thanksgiving will be wonderful...!!!

I'm up because I cheated on my diet and 'sampled' everything I have been fixing for tomorrow's Thanksgiving dinner, so now I am wired!!! I'll really have to get myself back into the swing again on Friday. I've been a very bad, bad girl....=O(

You DID do an outstanding job on this cake, June.  I love the texture on the bottom tier, the whole top tier is beautiful, and love the fondant bottom. I'll bet hubby was pretty darn impressed with this cake, huh?
