Thanks so much Anne.  Italy...wow, sounds wonderful. And India....a vacation or visiting relatives?? Are you & your family originally from India Anne??

The bottom cake is Shabby Chic style. I have a comb for icing, but couldn't find it anywhere, until that is, I was all finished. :o(   Just plopped lots & lots of icing on, then went around with a kitchen fork, removing until I achieved the affect I wanted.

A beautiful cake for a beautiful couple.  Happy anniversary.   What better way to gift each other than a cruise, have a wonderful time. I am off to Italy for a week and then to India for two weeks. Going to miss this group. BTW June, how did u do the the bottom cake?

Yes... I wanted to go to Scotland/Belgium/Poland. But we decided we needed more time to plan a trip like that. Steve saw this cruise online, & since it has been on our "bucket list", and the price was amazing, we thought, what the heck, perfect Anniversary gift!! We will fly a day ahead to Honolulu. Then cruise 3-4? Islands + Tahiti. Finish back in Honolulu where we will be staying a couple of days extra. Pretty excited. We go 2 wks after Christmas. So not a lot of gift exchange for that either. Would rather spend our Christmas $$ when we are away. We would have preferred a later date, say end Jan, beginning Feb, but the price literally doubled. Now I am back on the "lose weight" bandwagon!!! I put on 10 lbs!!! I got lazy, wasn't watching. But have already lost 2 lbs, & told Steve.... that's it, we're BOTH back on the straight & narrow. I gain weight SOoooo easily. I just got tired of being strict... Now I have to face the consequences..... Grrrrrr
