Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

After seeing my yellow mums on the ground after a heavy downpour, I decided to cut them to make a flower arrangement. Since I hadn't made any flowers in a while, I figured I would try making them in sugar. Made them in different colors.

Thank you Becky.  I used the Wilton Daisy cutter but then trimmed them a little bit.  I then cut them into individual petals and used a veining tool to vein them.  I then glued the petals on and tried to let the row dry a bit before putting the next row on (this was the hard part cause I'm very impatient).  I sort of did them like this tutorial http://www.liveinternet.ru/users/slasha/post199427133.  Usually what I do is google the image of the flower I am trying to make and try to get it as close as possible to the picture.  In the case of the yellow ones, I actually had the flower for reference.

Beautiful!!  How do you get them so perfect.  My flower experience is limited but really need to work on this more!!

Nice job Goreti, they are beautiful !!! I use butter cream flowers on most of my cc's.  The BIG flower ones I call "fantasy flower cup cakes."
