Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

6" cookies & cream cake & 8" chocolate cake with raspberry filling, both frosted in buttercream. All decorations are hand made out of fondant and the palm trees are a mix of 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. The coconuts are fondant and the sand is brown sugar mixed with a little bit of flour. Thanks for looking! :)

Joanne I used a skewer in the tree trunk and pushed it into the board as far as I could. This was my first time making any kind of tree so it was fun to play with it until it worked for me! :)

This cake made me smile. It is so cute. How did you get the palm treese to stand on the cake board?

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! I'm still pretty new at all this and it means a lot to hear that other cake artists like what I've done! :) LFalcon I actually printed a picture out, placed it onto the fondant and traced it with an exacto knife.

Hi Cute cake.

The flowers you made is that a cutter or hand cut ?  I'd like to purchase a hibiscus cutter like that.
