Christmas marzipan fruits
Made these at Christmas time. All are hand molded in the appropriate colors. Rolled the potato in cocoa powder for dirt affect, hand painted details on the rest.

When we lived in Germany while my husband was stationed in the military we bought a lot of marzipan and that is where I fell in love with it. Over here in the U.S. it is not easily found (I had never heard of it before living in Germany)-especially the molded fruits. Usually you can only find those here at Christmas time and that is at specialty shops-if you can find any. My husband actually came from Germany so of course this is one of his favorite treats.

Lovely. My husbands grandmother used to make marzipan fruit & veg each Christmas. He has asked me to make some this year. I'm not a lover of marzipan - but I'm sure I'll enjoy the modeling. Tx
