White sour cream doctored up mix (DH) cut into four layers and spread with almond butter cream icing. Iced in almond flavored butter cream, and hearts that I have been practicing with Royal Icing were added. The roses are gum paste.

Thank you Denice! Thank God the color is gone now, (after a weekend of pink hands that continually got lighter as the days went by) but I will tuck this into my mind for future reference.

I have tried many things to get the color off my hands, I am allergic to bleach so I cannot use that. What I have found to work is Murphy's Oil Soap, some people say Simple Green works also but I don't like the smell. Murphys's Oil Soap works well and smells good too.

Ann, your cakes are beautiful! I've seen them and I love your candle cake especially! I think the cakes are being used to form friendships, and that is more valuable than all the cakes in the world anyway.

and Tim, I agree....this site is my quiet place where I can unwind and be showered with the beauty of everyone's creations and good friendships.

And June, I think I know what you are talking about now. I have Bartenders Friend cream cleaner that does the same thing. I'll give that a try. Thank you!

Ok, Linda
Vim is a brand name, but I mean that cream cleanser. You remember the powdered cleanser we use to use to clean our sinks? They made it into a cream you squirt. They sell it for use on the glass top stoves.
I have also used bleach like Gail suggested, but watered down. Make sure your remove your rings. Bleach ears away at claws that hold the stones in your rings.

This is a REALLY wonderful, uplifting web sigh... Whenever I'm a little down, or I'm allowing something silly to get in the way of my inner peace... I head straight for this sight and all of your beautiful creations, great advise, love and support are waiting there just for me to tap into...

Thanks Everyone for always making my day brighter...!!!
