Palm tree is gum paste, flowers and rocks are fondant, tiki head and "drift wood" plaque are chocolate, water is piping gel, "fence" is store bought rolled wafers. Cake iced in buttercream icing and the grass is buttercream. Forgot to mention, the "sand" is crushed butter cookies with light brown sugar.

It's the same w/me Lydia. Someone will give me a picture or I might search online for inspiration but there's always that touch of "me" in there. Even if I do try to come up w/something unique or original, I start looking at other cakes on the internet and find it's not such a unique or original idea after all, except for maybe in my little corner of the world...lol. Still a very beautiful cake. Great work!!
Thanks Denise and Penny. I wish I know who came up with this originally so I could give them credit. Customer gave me a picture and I copied it, of course I did add a few of my own ideas to put a touch of "me" in it. :-)
(cook meant to say cool lol)
very clever! this would also be cook for a "diego" cake, minus the tiki and palm tree, replaced with baby jaguar and a more jungle like tree :-) The water looks fantastic!
Very nicely done
