Cap flat top is molding chocolate. It sits on a cake base that has been covered in fondant. I used a clay extractor for the tassles.

Thank you for the kind comments. I'm still working on getting the buttercream as smooth as fondant. This attempt was with time spent in the freezer and then some waxed paper. I'll get there, just need to spend more time on cakes. It's been few and far between because of my other activities.
