Okay, I'll check with her about the email. It could be that she's been out of town as well.

Thank you very much Linda :)

She might not have received it yet (my CD, that is...)... My friend in Michigan (whom I sent it to at the same time I sent Kathleen's CD) received hers yesterday... If she didn't get it yesterday... she probably receive it today or tomorrow... I did send it to her Alpine address... who knows, she may receive it during your class...? If you can... mention to her I sent her a few messages through Confectionary Chalet and her email address "Confectionary Chalet"... with no response...? did she receive them... if not, I'll try again!

Shirley thank you for sharing the story about Mrs. Gates. That's so sad. If I have to do Lambeth all day, I would go home crying too. That's a lot of pressure. About the pan, I think you are right. I haven't really think it through. I have a problem baking evenly too.

Timothy, That's awesome!! I'm gonna ask Kathleen to play us the CD in class today. Can't wait to listen to it :)

Thank you very much Anne. You can pipe. I weren't very good at piping in the begin with. Even with this cakes, there are crooked line still. My teacher always said "Practice, Practice, Practice!!"

This is beautiful.  I love the colors and I love love the lambeth method but I am not very good at piping.

Yes...! I'm the concert pianist Kathleen spoke of... I just sent her a copy of my latest CD project... in honor of the 200 anniversary of the great Hungarian Pianist and Composer, Franz Liszt... In 2011 he would have been 200 years old...

Wow!! That's amazing Shiley!! Did Edith told u about Mr. Lambeth. But sanding styrofoam doesn't sound like fun at all. Yeah I like using RKT but it doesn't come out flat like styrofoam and it is very heavy. This cake is a 12" w/ 16" bevel so i can fit all the piping :)

Timothy R u the concert pianist? Kathleen told us about how u saw Edith Gates cake when u were young and always wanted to learn Lambeth. I didn't know that beveled pan exist. That would made it a lot easier :)

Thank you both for commenting on my cake. It is very nice to meet you both. I'm working on 2 more cakes but can't post them yet because im gonna enter in SD cake show in March. Will post later :D

Yes!!! I also studied with Kathleen... She is amazing... My other teacher was a student of Tony and Edith Gates... We still talk about them a lot!!! I've been searching for beveled pans every where...? I usually make a 10 inch round and a fourteen inch round bottom and cut the bottom layer after perfectly measuring the top layer in the middle two inches on all sides... then cut a bevel... I'll use the trim for all of those cake "leftover" recipes and mostly give them to friends or loved ones... RKT work as well... I think that's what Kathleen uses when she makes bevels for real...

Thank you very much Shirley. For this cake, I did a RKT bevel myself but I usually get my teacher Kathleen Lange.

That's right Timothy. I did this cake in my class with Katleen. Have you taken a class with her? She is an amazing teacher :)
