Posted... over a year ago... but THANKS Kathleen...!!!
Beautiful job Timothy! Glad to see you are practicing:)
Good question Linda. The top cake was a seven inch bevel, I think it served eight...? The bottom (the main part of the cake) was a ten inch round with a 14 inch bevel. I did the Wilton thing, cut the circle in the center (about 7 inch round) and cut slices around the side (I guess around 22 slices at least) and then the center (probably around 8-10) so eight-plus twenty two-plus eight=38...? does that sound right...? I think it's close...? See... another thing I could learn from you...!
Tim, I think I would learn a whole lot more from you than I could ever begin to teach you. Just seeing all the work you put into this cake just blows me away! I don't know that I would know where to even begin on a cake of this magnitude. Out of curiosity, how many did it actually feed? Sometime, I wish you could video tape yourself or have someone video tape you while you are actually doing the decorating. I'd love to see you in 'action'! lol
In my mind Linda, in still waiting in line for a piece of one of your "Classic" Wedding Cakes... My mouth is water just thinking about it...!!!
I would LOVE to do a cake with you sometime, Linda...!!! I would learn SO much!!!
I want to be that little kid waiting for a piece. Yummmmmmmy! Beautiful, beautiful work Tim.
And I wish I could decorate like both of you!!!
