lemon pound cake/white chocolate raspberry filling/vanilla smbc--piping is something I am terrible at so wanted to practice--as you can see much more practice needed but on a good note the cake was delicious--Thanks Linda for posting it on facebook--

I hear you!!! My Easter cake was the exact same thing. For certain reasons, I couldn't start my cake till late. So when I was finished, I wasn't happy either. But as you, the next day, looking with fresh, and not so tired eyes, I figured it wasn't all that bad.

You are both so sweet. I really don't like piping because I can't do a very good job. Really appreciate the nice comments. I was so unhappy when I finished this cake. It was one of those days that nothing went according to plan so was pretty late by the time I got to decorating the cake. The next day, although, still not thrilled I realized it wasn't as bad as I first thought.

Erm - I don't think your icing is terrible at all. This is a really nice, old fashioned looking cake!
