5 tier Wedding cake. This bride wanted something that would WOW her guests. Her invitations had the swirls and that is where I got the designs for the swirls. The tiny crystals are swarski crystals and I made sure that they were all removed before the cake was cut and served. I did not want to use them for fear that someone would eat one but since I was attending the wedding I made sure they were all removed. The conchos were purchased by the bride and made a lovely accent. Her husband is a Professional Rodeo Cowboy and the conchos brought the western flair into the design. The Monogram I cut out of gumpaste and painted it with a sivler highlighter dust and then added the hologram pixie dust to give it the shimmer she wanted. There are swarski crystals on the monogram also. The white swirls were all made using a clay extruder and then added onto the sides. She did not want the piped look but the actual fondant so I used the clay extruder. It definately made a statement and was the centerpiece of the reception.

Hey Jeri
This is a knock out!!!! I'm trying to remember, but didn't you have to travel to a different State, pack your cake gear, and make the cake. Sure it was you????? Iv'e been away, and catching up.
Of course it would be Jeri, looking forward to see it.
You are welcome... they are stunning and make great accent pieces that can be reused for purses etc. Can't wait to post the next one it will be a tooled leather look cake. The conchos will be turquoise and silver and the cake has some red on it and some brown... will be stunning... I hope!
The medallions are actually conchos. We got them at cohchos.com They are spendy but these rodeo cowgirls always use them for other things. I think they are about $12 each. Am doing another big western design cake in a few weeks with the conchos
Hey Jeri, this is awesome my friend.
